We are seeking to fill a new position on the team for a Field Service Engineer . In this role, you will travel to customer locations domestically and internationally to commissions OTT's weather solutions. After an order is sold and created for the customer, you may be involved in final testing of the product just before it is shipped then you will travel to the customer site to install the solution, train the customer and get final sign off. This work requires good tooling experience and good mechanical and electrical knowledge. If you like to work on cars and like to travel, this could be the job for you! The person in this role will be trusted to work with clients at our highest revenue potential projects so excellent customer service skills are as much of as a priority as technical capability.

Training will consist of two-three weeks at our Sterling, VA location for product training and then will travel and shadow other Field Service Engineers on other product installs. Traveling will consist of two to three weeks per month at customer sites. This could be three full weeks at one site or one week at two or three different sites, depending on the size of the project. This is not a driving role (well, except to your local airport) as you will ship the necessary tools for the job with project materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel international and domestically, greater than 50%
  • Installs assembled HydroMet systems in the global region, including repairs, and maintenances
  • Conduct and support pre installation system testing
  • Responsible for conducting site survey and understanding customer requirements
  • Installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Provides effective specialist product and customer support training
  • Ensure accurate and on time contract / service invoicing
  • Support Sales teams with complex service quotes and contract agreements where required
  • Work closely with service administration to ensure professional customer visit planning and execution
  • Working cross functionally with the Global Service and Product Delivery Team (PDT)
  • Documenting that will assist Technical Customer Support (TCS) with future support

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a technical environment including hands-on field service experience
  • Proven customer interaction skills with a commercial attitude, being the face of OTT HydroMet
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word + strong computer skills
  • Effective personal and project time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in problem solving and commitment to deliver revenue/profitability to plan
  • Willingness to work with products from or in mechanical, industrial and wastewater sites. (All the necessary protective equipment and inoculations are provided.)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Able to work in the US and outside US

The salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
